Spies Catch SL65 AMG Black Edition Racing On Track

The Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Edition will be given a V12 twin-turbo engine that will be able to push out 670 horsepower and 738 pound foot of torque. That and the fact that 570 pounds have been taken off makes it a very powerful car.

Spies spotted the Sl65 Black Edition all wrapped up in camouflage running laps at the Nurburgring. They managed to catch a few seconds of it going as fast as it can and cruising along showing off its abilities. It is obvious that Mercedes is looking to strut its stuff and prove itself worthy in up coming races.

Next-Generation AMG Could Include Hybrids

Mercedes has announced that they will be changing up the AMG class. They are working overtime trying to balance out high output with low emissions in an effective way. This means that we can expect to see more turbo, less displacement, and maybe even a hybrid.

Mercedes will be throwing out the 6.2 liter V8 engine and introducing the new 5.0 liter, twin turbo, V8 which will be designed to push out 570 horsepower and 665 pound-ft of torque. The output is said to hit 700 horsepower and 885 pound-ft of torque instead of the 612 horsepower V12 mil.

Mercedes Takes On New Partner: Aston Martin

The rumors that Mercedes will be supplying Aston Martin with engines has been confirmed. They have officially partnered together and are planning to hel each other out to create newer vehicles that will be given brand new designs and technology.

In reality this partnership is something that we are looking forward to and was a smart plan for the two automakers. Aston Martin will once again need to rely on someone to help purchase all of their major car components from the usual mainstream suppliers once they are through working with Ford.

Sl65 AMG Black Series Edition Has More Power For Less Money

Mercedes was disappointed with the reaction that the SLR McLaren received when it was released. Consumers were happy with the look of the car – but when it came down to the things that really mattered they were disappointed to see that Mercedes took away the thing that really mattered – power.

2000 ML55 AMG

Mercedes’ sport-utility vehicle for the year in 2000 was given rear side airbags, optional third-row seating, revised interior features, a new high-performance model, and a pair of “designer” appearance options. The M-Class will continue in V6 ML320 and V8 ML430 models.

In 2000 the ML55 AMG boasted of a larger V8, bigger brakes, exclusive 18-inch wheels with low-profile tires, and sport front bucket seats. Only an exclusive 1500 vehicles were made available for 2000. All models have 5-speed automatic transmission, now with Mercedes’ Touch Shift manual shift gate, plus permanent 4-wheel drive with separate low-range gearing controlled by a dashboard button.
