We thought that we wouldn’t be able to catch a good look at the 2010 S-Class until the Geneva Motor Show in March next year - but we might get lucky and see it before then. There are rumors that it might be revealed in October during the Paris Motor Show.

Mercedes may find that they will have to cease all plans to produce their first hybrid sport utility for the U.S. market. The reason for this is because of Chevron and other partners have pulled funding for it. They are now unable to supply electric batteries needed to power the car.

The Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Edition will be given a V12 twin-turbo engine that will be able to push out 670 horsepower and 738 pound foot of torque. That and the fact that 570 pounds have been taken off makes it a very powerful car.
Spies spotted the Sl65 Black Edition all wrapped up in camouflage running laps at the Nurburgring. They managed to catch a few seconds of it going as fast as it can and cruising along showing off its abilities. It is obvious that Mercedes is looking to strut its stuff and prove itself worthy in up coming races.

Mercedes is preparing to launch the new E-class and we have the spy shots to prove it. The camouflaged car had a front fascia that seemed to be split right down the looks like a cross between the CLS’s headlamps and the ‘eyes’ of the C-and S-class.
Underneath the cloaked sheet metal is Mercedes’ new W212 mid-size sedan platform, which ditches the electronic braking system of the last generation (Benz dealers rejoice!) in favor of conventional hydraulic stoppers, and utilizes a four-link front suspension and a multi-link rear arrangement coupled with M-B’s Active Body Control (ABC) system.

Mercedes-Benz is preparing for the big launch of the E-Class. According to many of the spy photos that have been splashed all across the internet the new prototype has been given a new front fascia and is definitely an M-B.
The car itself is made out of the W212 mid-size sedan platform - which utilizes the four-link front suspension and mutli-link rear arrangement instead of the conventional electronic braking system. The multi-link rear arrangement is coulpled with the M-B’s Active Body Control (ABC) system.

Mercedes has announced that they will be changing up the AMG class. They are working overtime trying to balance out high output with low emissions in an effective way. This means that we can expect to see more turbo, less displacement, and maybe even a hybrid.
Mercedes will be throwing out the 6.2 liter V8 engine and introducing the new 5.0 liter, twin turbo, V8 which will be designed to push out 570 horsepower and 665 pound-ft of torque. The output is said to hit 700 horsepower and 885 pound-ft of torque instead of the 612 horsepower V12 mil.

The rumors that Mercedes will be supplying Aston Martin with engines has been confirmed. They have officially partnered together and are planning to hel each other out to create newer vehicles that will be given brand new designs and technology.
In reality this partnership is something that we are looking forward to and was a smart plan for the two automakers. Aston Martin will once again need to rely on someone to help purchase all of their major car components from the usual mainstream suppliers once they are through working with Ford.

Mercedes was disappointed with the reaction that the SLR McLaren received when it was released. Consumers were happy with the look of the car – but when it came down to the things that really mattered they were disappointed to see that Mercedes took away the thing that really mattered – power.

Mercedes is encouraging everyone to gear up for the summer and to give them a way to truly enjoy it they are offering a glass roof on the hardtop convertible on the SLK model. It is similar to the one that can be found on its brother the SL model. The only thing that is different from the two piece roof is that the C-pillar has been changed. There were mixed feelings over Mercedes GLK compact SUV. They showed it off at the Detroit Auto Show in January and many people weren’t sure whether the design that it was given was impressively unique or just a little too different for their taste.
Next week Mercedes will again be showing off the GLK and will be introducing us to the gas mileage that the CUV/SUV can get. The Vision GLK BlueTec Hybrid has been built with the new mild hybrid system that both Mercedes and BMW have been working on.
